Cyanoacrylate adhesives are increasingly being used in the production of electronic components and products such as earphones and smartphones. However, the automatic dispensing of cyanoacrylates in high-precision robotic manufacturing has always been problematic. These fast-curing adhesives will often polymerize or set too early inside the dispensing systems, leading to wasted materials and production downtime. Now a new dosing system developed by Bostik’s Born2Bond™ Engineering Adhesives Team in partnership with a leading equipment vendor has made high-precision dispensing of cyanoacrylate possible.
